UEI cards · the preferred I/O
The UEI cards we simulate
Choose a UEI card in the form when your I/O is one of these. Your software is built and measured against our simulator - and the same program drives your real card. Moving to the real card is almost transparent.
What the simulator gives you
The card's data path: the frames, the channels and the values, at your period - so the connection and your data handling are proven before the card is on your desk. It does not reproduce the card's configuration and start-up, its fault reporting, or anything the real box would ask of your software.
- Exact values every value arrives exactly, in order
- Data path the values flow as on the card; something physical is not modelled - see its note
Digital I/O 19
- MF-101DIO partExact values
- MF-101TTL partExact values
- MF-102TTL partExact values
- DIO-401Data path
Technical note
direction could not be determined from the documented function names; both paths are exercised - confirm against the board manual before relying on it
- DIO-402Data path
Technical note
no DQ_DIO402_* constant and no DqAdv402* API exist locally. The frame width is the one 32-bit word the sample writes through DqAdv40xWrite; the board's physically populated line count is NOT documented here
- DIO-403Exact valuesRun with INtime code
- DIO-405Data path
Technical note
no DQ_DIO405_* constant and no DqAdv405* API exist locally. The frame width is the one 32-bit word the sample moves in each direction; the split between input and output lines is NOT documented here
- DIO-414Exact values
- DIO-416Data path
Technical note
direction could not be determined from the documented function names; both paths are exercised - confirm against the board manual before relying on it
- DIO-430Data path
Technical note
no DqAdv430* API and no sample are documented locally, so the direction is UNVERIFIED and both paths are exercised
- DIO-432Data path
Technical note
direction could not be determined from the documented function names; both paths are exercised - confirm against the board manual before relying on it
- DIO-440Data path
Technical note
the frame is the 4 x 32-bit words of DQ_DIO_440_DATA_WORDS = 128 bits. How many of those lines are physically populated is NOT documented locally - the sample only ever walks bits 0..19 of two of the words
- DIO-448Exact values
- DIO-449Exact values
- DIO-461Exact values
- DIO-462Exact values
- DIO-470Data path
Technical note

- DIO-480TTL partExact values
Analog input 21
- MF-101AI partData path

- AI-225Exact values
- AI-228Data path
Technical note
the -300 variant has a different scale (DQ_AI228_300_SPAN = 600.0, OFFSET = 300.0); this simulator carries the base AI-228-1 scale. sensor linearisation - cold-junction compensation, thermocouple and RTD curves, shunt-calibration constants

- AI-254Exact values
- AI-255Exact values
- AI-256Exact values
- AI-261Exact values
- MUX-418Data path
Technical note
no DqAdv418* API and no sample are documented locally. Only the 18-channel count is evidence-backed; the multiplexer's own switching behaviour is not reproduced
- DIO-480DIADC partExact values
Analog output 11
- MF-101AO partData path
Technical note
the scale is range-dependent and the headers document several; this carries the widest documented range. Pass --amplitude in the units of the range you have actually configured
- AO-301Data path
Technical note
no DqAdv301* API and no sample are documented locally; the direction follows the board family, not a documented function
- AO-308Data path
Technical note
the scale is variant-specific and the knowledge base documents five: -020 (0.02 A), -420 (0.016 A offset -0.004), -352 (27.034), -353 (80.0) and -354 (120.0). This simulator carries the -020 scale; pass --amplitude in the units of the variant you actually have
- AO-318Exact values
- AO-319Data path
Technical note
span is DQ_AO319_MAX - DQ_AO319_MIN = 16 mA, exactly as the header comment states; the header writes it as an expression rather than a literal
- AO-332Data path
Technical note
no DqAdv332* API is documented locally; the shape comes from the headers and the direction from the sample program
- AO-333Data path
Technical note
the only dimensioned path in the headers is the 32-channel ADC READBACK (DQ_AO333_ADC_CHAN); the DAC output channel count is not documented locally, and this simulator assumes the two match

Counters, timers and encoders 8
- MF-101CT partData path
Technical note
edge and quadrature timing at microsecond resolution
- DIO-480CT partData path
Technical note
edge and quadrature timing at microsecond resolution
- CT-601Data path
Technical note
edge and quadrature timing at microsecond resolution. The counter VALUE is carried faithfully; how it was arrived at - quadrature decoding, period and pulse-width measurement, PWM generation - is not
- CT-602Data path
Technical note
edge and quadrature timing at microsecond resolution. The GPS synchro-serial and pulse-generator FIFOs (DqAdv602SendGPSSMessage, WriteFifoPGen) are not reproduced
- QUAD-604Data path
Technical note
edge and quadrature timing at microsecond resolution. Quadrature decoding is the whole point of this board and it is exactly what a value pipe cannot reproduce - the simulator carries the resulting count, not the A/B edge stream
- CT-608Data path
Technical note
edge and quadrature timing at microsecond resolution
- CT-650Data path
Technical note
this is an IRIG/GPS timekeeper. The simulator carries a time VALUE on the one documented channel; it reproduces nothing of IRIG-B decoding, GPS tracking, PLL discipline or the timestamping of the nine event channels - which is what the board is for. Treat a pass here as proving your data path, never your time base
- CT-651Data path
Technical note
edge and quadrature timing at microsecond resolution. Only register get/set is documented for this board, so the simulator moves values on four channels and models no counter behaviour at all
Serial 7
- MF-101SERIAL partData path
Technical note
UART bit timing, framing errors and break conditions
- MF-102SERIAL partData path
Technical note
UART bit timing, framing errors and break conditions

- SL-504Data path
Technical note

CAN bus 2
- MF-102CAN partData path
Technical note
arbitration, bus-off state and error frames
- CAN-503Data path
Technical note
arbitration, bus-off state and error frames
Custom, FPGA or carrier 5
- PC-104Data path
Technical note
a custom bus-access layer: the simulator moves the two channels' data words, and reproduces nothing of the external bus timing, addressing or the script engine behind DqAdv104WriteScript. No sample program is present in the knowledge base for this board
- PC-105Data path
Technical note
no DqAdv105* API and no sample are documented locally, so the direction is UNVERIFIED and both paths are exercised. Only the channel count is evidence-backed
- PL-801Data path
Technical note
a custom message layer from DaqLibHLCustom.h. Messages are carried as channel values; the layer's own framing, watermarks and subsystem addressing are not reproduced, and no sample exists locally
- PL-802Data path
Technical note
a custom message layer from DaqLibHLCustom.h. Messages are carried as channel values; the layer's own framing, watermarks and subsystem addressing are not reproduced, and no sample exists locally
- PL-820Data path
Technical note
the board groups its 104 lines as 4 x 32-bit ports; the wire format here carries them as 13 x 8-bit ports, so the LINES are faithful but the grouping is not. Being an FPGA layer, whatever logic is loaded into it is by definition not reproducible, and no sample exists locally
Power supply and rail monitoring 5
- PC-921Data path
Technical note
a power-supply MONITORING layer: the simulator carries the measured rail values and reproduces nothing of the supply itself - no regulation, no fault or shutdown behaviour, no thermal response. No ADC span is documented for this model, so values are raw counts.
- PC-925Data path
Technical note
a power-supply MONITORING layer: the simulator carries the measured rail values and reproduces nothing of the supply itself - no regulation, no fault or shutdown behaviour, no thermal response.
- PC-926Data path
Technical note
a power-supply MONITORING layer: the simulator carries the measured rail values and reproduces nothing of the supply itself - no regulation, no fault or shutdown behaviour, no thermal response.
- PC-927Data path
Technical note
a power-supply MONITORING layer: the simulator carries the measured rail values and reproduces nothing of the supply itself - no regulation, no fault or shutdown behaviour, no thermal response. No ADC span is documented for this model, so values are raw counts.
- PC-928Data path
Technical note
a power-supply MONITORING layer: the simulator carries the measured rail values and reproduces nothing of the supply itself - no regulation, no fault or shutdown behaviour, no thermal response. DQ_PC_928_ICHAN is defined as DQ_PC_927_ICHAN, so the count is the 927's. No ADC span is documented for this model, so values are raw counts.
Other 1
- CAR-550Data path
Technical note
the only sample enables a wireless radio; there is no documented value path at all. The single channel is evidence-backed, the direction is UNVERIFIED, and nothing about the radio link is reproduced
No card matches. Try a family name or a card number.
15 cards we know but do not simulate yet
They are in the UEI documentation we work from, but nothing there defines their data shape well enough to simulate them faithfully. You can still choose one: we build your software for it and say plainly that no simulator was produced.
- AI-202DqAdv202Read is documented but no DQ_AI202_* channel constant exists anywhere in the knowledge base, and there is no sample
- AI-219only filter-tap and PLL-frequency constants exist (DQ_AI219_1_LE120K_MAXTAPS, DQ_AI219_MAXPLLCLFRQ); no channel count, no API, no sample
- AO-302DqAdv302Write is documented but no DQ_AO302_* constant and no sample exist
- AO-385resistance-range constants only (DQ_AO385_R4_MAX_350 and friends); no channel count, no API, no sample
- ARINC-512DQ_AR512_CHAN_RX = 12 is known, but ARINC-429 label/SDI framing and bus timing are an external standard the knowledge base does not document
- ARINC-51634 DqAdv516* calls and DQ_AR516_CHAN_TX/RX are known; the wire discipline - schedule entries, filter entries, frame clock - is not documented locally
- ARINC-524DQ_AR524_CHAN_RX = 24 only; no API, and the same framing problem as the rest of the ARINC family
- ARINC-566the information is the labels and the scheduling, not the value; a value pipe here would be a stub wearing a simulator's name
- ARINC-664AFDX - virtual links, BAG scheduling and redundancy management are not documented locally
- ARINC-708radar-bus framing is not documented locally, and no channel constant exists either
- B-533two unrelated defines; no channel count, no API, no sample
- DIO-404only reference-voltage selections are defined (DQ_DIO404_REF_3_3V .. _36V) plus DqAdv404SetHyst; no channel count, no sample
- M-272only PRF/PIM mask bits are defined; no channel count, no API, no sample
- MIL-STD-155343 DqAdv553* calls and DQ_L553_CHAN = 2 are known, but the bus-controller / remote-terminal / bus-monitor command and status word discipline is the content of the standard and is not documented locally
- SL-500DqAdv500SetConfig / SetTxCondition and word-width bits only; no channel count, no sample
